About the Process

Under one roof in cyberspace, OpenInvo unites creative thinkers and their brilliant ideas with the individuals or companies who seek them.

Our philosophy and practice is based on the paradigm of open innovation, a concept around since the 1960s, but popularized by UC Berkeley professor Henry Chesbrough with his 2003 book of the same name, promoting the idea that companies should look outside of their own corporate culture and take inspiration from external sources to become truly innovative and advance their businesses.

OpenInvo equally serves both those who have ideas they are looking to sell and market (here we call them Idea Providers), and those seeking new and exciting ideas to enhance and advance their businesses (we call this group the Idea Seekers).

On the Idea Provider side, we provide a platform where creative thinkers can register and upload their ideas and any accompanying information. Idea Providers can also create their own profiles and collaborate with one another on as many varied ideas as they choose. OpenInvo reviews the ideas, assigns appropriate value to them, makes sure that the intellectual property is appropriately protected, and markets/sells these ideas to fitting companies or individuals.

On the Idea Seeker side, OpenInvo affords various subscription levels, whereby companies or individuals can gain access to the ideas that are posted for sale by members of the Provider Community. If you let us know what you're looking for, we will help you find it! OpenInvo also makes sure that any necessary paperwork is taken care of so that all parties involved are protected.

OpenInvo serves those with great ideas who aren't sure what to do with them, and those looking for great ideas that they can work with, all in one robust platform that continues to grow and thrive with our brilliant community. That is open innovation at its finest.
